Welcome to RaceSelect, your premier platform for accessing and registering for a wide variety of race events. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using RaceSelect, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Our Role
RaceSelect serves as a facilitation platform connecting racers with race events organized by independent promoters. We provide a service that allows users to find, learn about, and register for racing events. Our role is strictly limited to:
Providing a platform for race event listings, facilitating the registration and payment process for these events.
We are not involved in the actual organization or conduct of the races. The specifics of each race, including safety measures, rules of participation, and any other details, are solely determined and managed by the individual race promoters.

2. Race Promoter Responsibility
Each race event listed on RaceSelect is managed and conducted by independent promoters. These promoters are solely responsible for:

• The organization and execution of their events.
• Setting the terms, including the cost and rules of participation.
• Making decisions regarding event cancellations, modifications, and refunds.
• RaceSelect does not influence or control these aspects and is not responsible for the actions or decisions of race promoters.

3. User Responsibilities
As a user of RaceSelect, you agree to:

• Ensure your eligibility and capability to participate in any race event you register for.
• Abide by the terms and conditions set forth by the individual race promoters.
• Acknowledge that RaceSelect is not responsible for the organization or any operational aspects of the race events.

4. Acknowledgments
During the process of using the RaceSelect platform, you acknowledge that:

• Race promoters may choose to configure the system to store your credit card. Transaction processing and storage is done through Stripe (https://stripe.com) and your card is never transmitted through or stored with RaceSelect. The promoter may choose to do this in order to make future in person and online transactions easier for you as well as charging you for missing items that you use in an event, specifically a transponder rental that is not returned.
• Race promoters may choose to text message you during the event at the number you provided in your profile. This is not for marketing purposes but for event specific notifications, for example schedule changes, weather notices or other critical information. By agreeing to these terms you are opting in to these messages. You can opt out by replying STOP to the messages.
• Race promoters may choose to pass on a fee related to online payment processing.
• RaceSelect may use your email address for notifications and promotions about race events that may interest you, by agreeing to these terms you are opting into email messages for these purposes. You can unsubscribe from the promotional emails from the unsubscribe link in the emails.

5. Liability
RaceSelect disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, or damage suffered as a result of participating in race events organized by third-party promoters. Users participate in events at their own risk and are encouraged to consider personal insurance coverage.

6. Terms Modification
RaceSelect reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
